Here are two "techie" boys choosing to read before school rather than join their mates on screens!! It's great to see. We could all try having a screen free day in the next week.
Here you can keep up-to-date with the learning journey happening in Room 26, 2014.

X-Country 2014
Here are some pics from last week's X-Country. It was fantastic to see such positive attitudes on the day towards an event that is not everybody's cup of tea. Congratulations to you all for your perseverance and positivity. Sorry there isn't photos of everybody.
Drip Drip Drip Ignition
Last term our Drip Drip Drip water day was ironically rained off so it was held last week. It wasn't the warmest of days but that didn't stop everyone having an awesome time with all the different water activities. It was a great way to start off our water inquiry.
Rugby Funday
Every year the Cantabrians Club hold a rugby fun day to kick off the school rugby season. Schools from all over Christchurch as well as nearby country schools send teams along. This year our team played Rolleston, Riccarton and Templeton and won all three games. This is the first time in quite a few years that we have had a team who won all 3!! Let's hope it's a good sign for the rest of the season. Thomas, Tane and Jake were a part of this team.

Community Quilt
Here are some of our pieces of the school community cloth. We used koru shapes as symbols to represent different members of our families. We also choose two colours that best represent us and our families to paint our koru with. These have been sewn together with the pieces from every other child in the school - how awesome is that!
